JiuHub ("we", "our", or "us") operates the JiuHub mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using JiuHub you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — name, email address, profile photo, date of birth, and belt/rank.
• Training data — training sessions, rolls (sparring), attendance check-ins, and curriculum progress you log inside the App.
• Hub & academy data — the gyms and groups you join, your role within them, and graduation events.
• Content — posts, comments, and media you publish on the feed.
• Device & usage data — device type, OS version, app version, crash reports, and feature usage (for diagnostics and improvement).
• Push notification tokens — to deliver in-app notifications to your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the JiuHub App and its features.
• Issue and verify digital graduation certificates.
• Send push notifications about training, events, and graduation.
• Enable social features such as following other practitioners and viewing the feed.
• Ensure platform security and prevent abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Sharing

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Academy / Hub administrators — training attendance, roll counts, and graduation eligibility are visible to the admins and instructors of gyms you belong to.
• Cloud infrastructure — data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers, including S3 for certificate PDFs and MongoDB Atlas for application data.
• Firebase — used for push notification delivery (Google LLC).
• Legal requirements — we may disclose data when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Graduation Certificates

When a graduation certificate is issued, a PDF is generated and stored on AWS S3 with a publicly accessible URL so recipients can share and verify it. The certificate contains your name, belt, graduation date, and academy information. You may request revocation of your certificate by contacting your academy administrator.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., issued certificates that have been shared publicly).

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

7. Children's Privacy

JiuHub is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls, and digital signatures on graduation certificates. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
